Liverpool v Braga Betting: Andy Carroll can fire Reds into Europa League quarter finals

Liverpool welcome Portuguese side Sporting Braga to Anfield for the second leg of their Europa League fixture. Liverpool recorded their first loss in the Europa League this season when losing this first leg of the round sixteen 1-0, following a clumsy challenge from Kyrgiakos which resulted in a penalty that Braga’s Alan had no problem with dispatching into the back of the net. Despite the first leg defeat, Liverpool are the odds on favourites to win the second leg and progress into Friday's quarter-final draw as bookmaker Paddy Power goes 4/9 about Kenny Dalglish's side. Braga are 13/2 for a surprise win whilst the draw can be backed at 16/5.

Liverpool were fortunate enough to escape the tie with just a 1-0 loss as the team looked nowhere the side that have steadily climbing up the league and recently managed to comfortably defeat the Premier League leaders Manchester United 3-1, just four days prior to this game, in doing so closing the gap for the Premier League title. Therefore all eyes will certainly be on Andy Carroll as he hopefully will be making his first full start for the team and will be able to score his first goal for the Reds, currently he is showing at odds of 3/1 to be the first player on the score sheet with Paddypower.

However it is not all bad news for Liverpool as they are looking the favourites to win this game and progress to the quarter finals of the Europa League, no doubt having the home advantage will be a major boost for the team.
