Liverpool v Unirea Odds for The Reds First Match in Europa Cup

Liverpool, 7/1 favourites to win the Europa Cup this season take on little known Unirea Urziceni at Anfield this week in the first leg of the round of 32 where they are massive favourites to win. Liverpool have been made 1/3 odds onto win the match with the Romanian champions given only a slim 8/1 chance and the draw being a 4/1 option. These odds are available with Bet365

Both sides find themselves in the Europa Cup after being eliminated in the Group Stages of the Champions League and will see this competition as a chance for some redemption, hopefully making for a very competitive match. Unirea have little experience playing against British Clubs away from home, having only met Glasgow Rangers so far in European competition in a match that they won comfortably by 4-1 earlier on this season. That result suggests that they will be no pushovers, but they have been seriously disadvantaged since with the loss of manager Dan Petrescu and his coaching staff, who have taken up new positions in Russia. This means that this game will be the first in charge for new coach, Roni Levy.

Still without top striker Fernando Torres, Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is likely to continue with David Ngog in the main striking role with supporting roles for Dirk Kuyt and Steven Gerrard.
