Everton welcome Norwich to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon and they will be hoping to reverse a poor run of form at home. They start the match as 8/13 odds on favourites, while Norwich are 5/1, but we fancy the draw at 13/5 with Paddy Power could be the way to go for this mid-table Premier League clash.
The home form of David Moyes' side has been woeful of late as they have failed to score and lost three of the last four at Goodison Park. That sort of run makes the double chance market of a Norwich win or draw at odds of 5/4 very tempting indeed, although you have to counter that with Norwich's own dismal away record.
The Canaries have won just one of their last 37 away matches in the Premier League and have lost the last five against Everton, although this is their first meeting since back in 2005. Duncan Ferguson was on the scoresheet in that match and he scored five goals in five matches against Norwich, with Everton desperate for a regular goalscorer like Ferguson of late.
Louis Saha has struggled to get going this season, scoring just two goals, and he will be desperate to rediscover some semblance of form. Saha is 9/2 to score first this weekend with paddypower, although it could be worth a look at a late goal.
Twelfth placed Everton have scored 53% of their goals in the last fifteen minutes of matches this term, the highest proportion in the league, and PaddyPower.com offer 10/11 for the last goal of Saturday's match to be scored after the 74th minute.
Equally concerning for Everton is their inability to keep clean sheets as they have failed to keep the opposition out in their last ten at Goodison Park. That is a worry when they take on a Norwich team who are set up to attack by Paul Lambert and both teams to score is unsurprisingly 4/6 odds on.
Norwich have had their own problems keeping teams out and they are yet to keep a clean sheet this season. The match should offer Everton a chance to end their goal drought and over 2.5 goals is 4/6 on, with Norwich's last six matches involving over 2.5.
Lambert has set his side up impressively this term and they have been good entertainment value during their climb to tenth in the league. They have scored in thirteen of fifteen in the Premier League, including in each of their last eight, and Steve Morison has been in fine form. Morison has scored five in his last six and he looks hugely tempting to be first goalscorer at odds of 7/1 with Paddy Power.
Both sides have injury concerns heading into the match as Leon Osman, Jack Rodwell and Royston Drenthe are doubts for Everton, while Daniel Ayala is a concern for Norwich. Taking into account the respective team's records at home and away, we fancy the look of a score draw at 7/2 and the correct score of 2-2 could be a very decent punt at 13/1.
