Norwich v Man United Odds: Goals Expected At Carrow Road
The late game on Saturday sees Man United head to Norwich City for a crucial Premier League clash with both sides in need of the points. United will of course start the game as warm favourites following some good results recently but they come up against home side in Norwich that are becoming increasingly tough to beat. Chris Hughton seems to be settling into his role at Carrow Road but he will know that his players will need to be at their best to compete with a hot United team.
Sir Alex Ferguson will be expecting his team to prove too strong for the Canaries and the betting market supports that suggestion. United are jam packed with goals at the moment with Robin Van Persie on fire since his summer move from Arsenal. The Dutchman is starting to gel with Wayne Rooney in attack while Ashley Young is back from injury and expected to start the game on the left after a good run out for England in mid week. Last weekend we saw United come back from two down to beat Aston Villa on the road and punters can expect goals from the away team once again at Carrow Road.
There is no doubt at all that United are the team to beat here and punters wanting to back them to beat Norwich by any score line can currently get a price of 4/9 with Paddy Power. That price certainly reflects their current position at the top of the Premier League table and following five wins on the trott they will be expecting to make it number six at Carrow Road.
Norwich are clearly facing an uphill challenge against United but they too come into this game in good form and shouldn't be ignored completely. The Canaries are unbeaten in their last four matches including a 1-0 win at home over Arsenal and their fans will be hoping for a similar performance against United this weekend. The likes of Wes Hoolahan and Grant Holt have come into form over the past few weeks and they will need to be at their very best on Saturday evening if they are to compete with their illustrious rivals.
The bookmakers are giving Norwich next to no chance of winning the match with the Canaries available at 13/2 with PaddyPower to win the match by any score line. That looks to be a big price for a team in form at the moment and it is worth noting that they have lost just the once at home this season and won't just roll over for their more famous visitors.
Norwich are brave side at home but we cant see past a United win here given their current form. They go into the match in fine scoring form and that should provide the difference despite their defensive worries at the moment. Norwich are no pushovers at home though and while they may land a blow we like the 9/1 available with Paddy Power about United winning the match 3-1.
