Arsenal take on Swansea in one of two live FA Cup third round replays on Wednesday night and all the pressure is on the Gunners. Arsene Wenger's side could do with a positive result this week as they bid to end a three-match winless run and maintain their hopes of avoiding another trophy-less season, with the bookies making them long odds on favourites for this one.
The Gunners are 8/15 odds on to win in 90 minutes, while Swansea can be backed at 11/2 after they earned a replay with a 2-2 draw in the first match between the sides. There is no doubt that the pressure is all on Arsenal as the home side and their recent form continues to cause consternation. Since they beat Newcastle 7-3, they have drawn with Southampton and of course Swansea, while they were woeful in a 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester City on Sunday.
Laurent Koscielny was sent off against City and will be suspended this week, while the fact that Arsenal played the best part of 80 minutes with 10 men might mean that fatigue comes into play on Wednesday night. A goal to be scored between the 81st minute and full-time on Wednesday can be backed at 23/20 and there could be some more late drama to match the first meeting.
