A Leicester v West Brom Stalemate Is The Best Bet For Monday Night Football

Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion have both been struggling for form ahead of their live Monday night clash on Sky Sports and it is the draw which makes most appeal for this Premier League match-up at the King Power Stadium...

  • West Bromwich Albion haven't lost a game at Leicester since 1996 - Won Six, Drawn Two
  • No team drew more away games (seven) in the Premier League last season than West Brom

Recent Form (or lack of)

Craig Shakespeare did a fine job in keeping Leicester in the top-flight during their dismal title defence last season but he has work cut out this term, with the Foxes winless in five outings (drawn two, lost three) going into this fixture. Leicester's disappointing start to the campaign does have mitigating circumstances as they have played five of the division's top-seven ahead of this weekend's games and they are 21/20 favourites for victory on Monday.

However, the price for a home win is very short considering Leicester haven't beat West Brom at home since 1996, drawing two and losing six in the meantime, and the Baggies were the draw specialists on the road last season.

Tony Pulis's men are always tough to beat and no side drew more games away from home than them during 2016/17 (seven), with Bet 365 going 12/5 about the draw for Monday.
Match Odds:

Vardy Returns

The Baggies have won two of six Leicester v West Brom fixtures (drawn one, lost three) overall since the Foxes returned to the top-flight in 2014 and they have been struggling for form of late.

Like Leicester, Pulis's men are winless in five outings (drawn three, lost two) and it is difficult to make a case for either team having enough about them to take three points, which makes the draw the stand-out bet.

It will be interesting to see how Leicester perform now that Wilfred Ndidi and Jamie Vardy are fit again, and Vardy has scored three goals in five appearances against West Brom, albeit all three goals came at The Hawthorns. Vardy is 15/4 to be first goalscorer (B365) on Monday night.
