Arsenal v Bolton Wanderers Odds: Bet on goals in this Premier League clash

One glance at the match odds for the Arsenal versus Bolton clash at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon and you'd be forgiven for thinking this is a home banker. It probably is, but you're not going to get too rich backing 1/5 odds on shots in the Premier League, especially after the teams have had a week off through an International break and are missing key players. Arsenal should win, but there's better value to be had than backing them in the match betting. Bolton won 3-1 away at West Ham in their only other away match so far this season, but Ladbrokes seem happy to lay them at best price 14/1 to pick up the points here, whilst the draw is 5/2.

Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side sit second in the Premier League after an opening day draw against Liverpool (albeit a fortnuate one), a 6-0 thrashing of Blackpool at the Emirates and a hard earned 2-1 win at Blackburn last time out. Goals should be the order of the day on Saturday, as both teams have been amongst them so far this season and Arsenal have already hit the back of the net fifteen times in their three matches. Robin Van Persie and Theo Walcott both miss the match through injury but there's still plenty of goals in this Arsenal team, whether it be through lone striker Marouane Chamakh, the 7/2 favourite to score the first goal with Ladbrokes or a midfielder such as Andre Arshavin, a 4/1 shot.

Bolton are currently in sixth place and unbeaten so far this season. An impressive 3-1 away win against West Ham coupled with two draws at the Reebok, the latter a ten-men fightback to level the score with Birmingham 2-2. Owen Coyle will be without number one goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen for the trip to the Emirates as he serves a suspension for his red card against Birmingham, whilst he's sweating on the fitness of young Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic. Kevin Davies, Johan Elmander and the aforementioned Klasnic are all 14/1 to score first against Arsenal, with Ladbrokes happy to lay them as best industry price.

Keeping with the goals theme, there are a couple of good looking bets to be had based on the season stats so far. Arsenal aren't lacking for goals at The Emirates at the best of times and are already averaging three goals a game in this season's Premier League. You can back Arsenal to score over 2.5 goals in the match on Saturday at an attractive looking 11/10 with Ladbrokes. All they need to do is score three goals or more and you'll be in the money.

Bolton aren't without their own goal-threat either this season and having netted five times in the three matches to date they carry a more offensive threat under Coyle's management. All five of their goals have interestingly been scored in the second half of matches, whilst Arsenal have also scored five second half goals this season. Add in the fact that the Hungarian Adam Bogdan will be making his Premier League debut in goal for the away side, whilst the likes of Laurent Koscielny and new signing Sebastian Squillaci (likely to be debutising for the injured Vermaelen) won't have faced opposition quite like Kevin Davies before, there could well be plenty of late goals.
