Estonia v Ireland Odds: Back a draw in the playoff betting

Ireland face a tricky trip to Tallinn for the first leg of their Euro 2012 play-off tie with Estonia on Friday night. The Irish start the match as 13/10 favourites, although Estonia (11/5) are not to be underestimated and we fancy the draw, at industry best priced odds of 11/5 with Paddy Power, could be the way to go.

Estonia secured their place in the play-offs by finishing second to Italy in Group C during qualifying. Tarmo Ruutli's side lost four matches but managed to pick up enough points to secure their place in the play-offs for the first time in their history.

The team ranked 59th in the world picked up some notable results along the way, including two wins over Northern Ireland, and they have certainly provided good entertainment value. Eighteen of their last nineteen matches have involved over 2.5 goals, with over 2.5 priced 6/4 this week.

Konstantin Vassilijev has been amongst the goal of late, scoring three in his last three appearances for Estonia, with Paddy Power pricing him 10/1 to score first. However, Estonia have lost four of their last seven matches, failing to score in four defeats, and Ireland will be confident of coming away with a result.

Giovanni Trappatoni's men are unbeaten in nine matches and secured their place in the play-offs with victory over Armenia to ensure second place in Group B. They have only conceded one goal in those nine matches and it could be worth a look at the Ireland clean sheet at odds of 13/10 with PaddyPower.

Furthermore, Ireland have been impressive away from home as they have kept four clean sheets in five and managed to score in four of those themselves. Estonia on the other hand failed to keep a clean sheet at home during qualifying, including against the Faroe Islands, and have no clean sheets in their last ten fixtures.

Ireland look good value to grab an all important away goal and they are 5/6 to score first on Friday, after scoring first in each of their last six matches.

However, where that goal may come from is less clear as Kevin Doyle is suspended after his sending off against Armenia, while Robbie Keane and Shane Long are fitness doubts. Keane has impressed for LA Galaxy of late and flew from America on Sunday night, although he has failed to score in his last four for Ireland.

Keane starts as 5/1 favourite to score first, although a better punt might be Stoke's Jon Walters. The big striker's physical approach could be a valuable asset in Tallinn and he could be set to start, with paddypower.com pricing him a tempting 7/1 to score first.

John O'Shea and Darren O'Dea are also doubtful for the match and Ireland will do well not to underestimate their opponents, who have won just five of their last seventeen matches. We fancy the look of Ireland to come away with a draw and a crucial away goal, with the correct score of 1-1 available at 5/1.
