The Republic of Ireland will fancy their chances of qualifying for Euro 2012 following the draw over the weekend as they look to banish the memory of Henry's handball in the Stade De France, Giovanni Trapattoni took the team to within a whisker of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa but attentions now turn to Poland and the Ukraine in 2012. Ireland have been drawn in Group B for qualification alongside Russia, Slovakia, Macedonia, Armenia and Andorra in a reasonably kind draw, the Russians are the number one seeds but failed to qualify for the World Cup and look to be beatable on current form.
