Arsenal travel to Olympiakos for their final Champions League Group F match on Tuesday night, safe in the knowledge that they have already won the group. Olympiakos must win at the Georgios Karaiskaki stadium though and they start as 10/11 favourites in the match betting, while Arsenal are 3/1 to win and the draw is priced 5/2 by Bet 365.
The Greek side are currently third in Group F, one point behind second placed Marseille, and they will need to beat Arsenal and hope Marseille slip up in their final group match against Borussia Dortmund. Arsenal have no such worries as they have already won the group and qualified for the knockout stages, so Arsene Wenger is likely to field a second string side.
Coming up against a weakened Gunners side should give Olympiakos hope and Rafik Djebbour will be looking to continue his fine scoring form. Djebbour has scored seven in his last nine and he is a 9/2 punt in the first scorer betting with Bet365.com.
Olympiakos, who are unbeaten in their last seven at home, have injury problems though as Ariel Ibagaza, Jean Makoun and Ljubomir Fejsa are out, while Francisco Yeste is a doubt. They have coped admirably in the league with those injuries and they will look to do so once again this week.
They have lost just two of their last twelve since losing 2-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates earlier this season and they have won three of their last four to nil. They are 11/8 to keep a clean sheet against the Gunners and 2/1 to win to nil, although Arsenal have scored in each of their last ten away matches and over 2.5 goals could be worth a punt at 23/20.
Arsene Wenger's men have comfortably progressed to the knockout stages and the Arsenal manager has admitted that he will put out a second string side similar to the one that lost 2-1 to Man City in the Carling Cup last week. That means the likes of Marouane Chamakh and Chu-Young Park should get a chance to impress, while Robin Van Persie is likely to be rested.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain should get a chance to enhance his reputation and he notched a goal on his Champions League debut against Olympiakos earlier this season. He is a tempting 10/1 in the betting to score first with B365 as he looks to add to his tally of two goals from five matches so far.
With the group already won, Arsenal could be forgiven for taking it easy but we expect them to contribute to an entertaining game. Olympiakos look capable of winning it and they are a best priced 13/5 to win by one goal, although whether that is enough to qualify will depend on the Marseille v Dortmund match.
