Liverpool will look to continue their excellent recent form when they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage in the live Monday night match. The Reds have been enjoying a fine run of form of late and can be backed at 5/4 in the betting with Paddy Power, who will refund all losing first scorer, last scorer, correct score and scorecast single bets if Luis Suarez scores last on Monday.
Although Liverpool have been excellent of late, they have dropped too many points against teams they would be expected to beat and Fulham would come into that category. The home side are priced 9/4 to win, while the draw is available at 9/4.
Fulham may have drawn 1-1 at Arsenal last weekend but they have struggled for form and find themselves precariously placed above the relegation zone in the Premier League. They suffered a heart breaking 1-0 defeat to FC Twente in the Europa League in mid-week and have failed to win any of their last four.
Martin Jol's side have now won just two of their last nine and the Dutch manager is again likely to be without Steven Davies, while Damien Duff and Steve Sidwell are doubtful. Scoring goals has been an issue for Fulham of late as they have scored just two goals in their last four and both of those were own goals, with Paddy Power offering 17/2 for an own goal to be scored on Monday.
Scoring goals against Liverpool has been an issue in the past as well as they have failed to score in six of the last eight Fulham v Liverpool meetings, with the Liverpool clean sheet looking a decent punt at 6/4.
The Reds have kept three clean sheets in their last five and it is tough to see a repeat of last season's thriller between these two. Liverpool won 5-2 at Craven Cottage last term, although seven of their last nine matches have involved under 2.5 goals, as have Fulham's last three, with under 2.5 goals 8/13 on.
Maxi Rodriguez will have happy memories of last season's match at Craven Cottage as he helped himself to a hat trick. The Argentine has scored two in his last two appearances and he looks great value at 8/1 in the first scorer betting with PaddyPower.com, while he is 3/1 to score anytime.
Kenny Dalglish will have to do without Steven Gerrard once again and the England midfielder has been joined on the injury table by Lucas, who is out for the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury.
Even with those absentees we fancy Liverpool to extend their eleven match unbeaten run and secure a remarkable seventh away win in a row, with the correct score of 2-0 to the Reds available at 17/2.
