The Italian football season kicks off with the traditional curtain-raiser of the Italian Super Cup in the not so traditional surroundings of China. Last year's Serie A champions AC Milan take on bitter rivals and Italian Cup winners Inter Milan at the Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing on Saturday afternoon and it is AC who start as industry best priced favourites at odds of 11/8 with Stan James.

Gasperini's side were trounced 3-0 by Man City in the Dublin Super Cup last weekend and he also lost the services of Yuto Magatomo to injury during the tournament. Gasperini is likely to rest his South American players who played in the Copa America, which means the like of Lucio, Maicon, Diego Milito and Esteban Cambiasso could miss out.
AC Milan won both of the Milan derbies last season, with Inter failing to score in both of them, and interestingly only one team has scored in five of their last six meetings. It could be worth backing against both teams scoring this weekend at odds of 10/11 with Stan James.
Ultimately, we fancy AC Milan to edge this one and gain an early psychological advantage, with the correct score of 1-0 available at a tempting 13/2 with StanJames.
