Fulham v Arsenal Odds: Martin Jols side a good bet to take points off Gunners

Craven Cottage hosts the live match on Bank Holiday Monday with Fulham v Arsenal. The Gunners could go level on points with Spurs in third place in the Premier League with a win here and will be buoyed from the fact that they are unbeaten against Fulham in their last six matches. In past seasons Fulham have relied on their home form and turned Craven Cottage into somewhat of a fortress. This hasn't really been the case this season however, having only won three of their nine games in West London, drawing three and losing three. These results sum up Martin Jol's side this term, a Jeckyll and Hyde outfit who can win 6-0 at home one week and lose 5-0 the next. Arsenal continued their excellent run of results on New Year's Eve beating QPR 1-0 at The Emirates. Arsene Wenger's side have lost just once in twelve Premier League matches and that came away at Manchester City, going down 1-0 in a match they could have easily have got something from. Robin Van Persie scored the only goal against QPR and it's no surprise that the Dutchman is favourite at 3/1 to open the scoring on Monday with Ladbrokes.

Thierry Henry has signed on loan to help support Van persie, who has now scored 17 goals in the Premier League, three more than his closest rival. With Gervinho due to leave for the African Cup of Nations in January, Arsene Wenger has felt the need to bolster his attacking options but only time will tell as to whether Henry can still cut it at Premier League level and the Frenchman is unlikely to feature here.

Martin Jol will have been kicking himself following his side's late goal conceded at Carrow Road in the 1-1 draw with Norwich on Saturday, but they shouldn't hold too much fear here. The pair drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture at the end of November and the goalscorer for Arsenal that day Thomas Vermaelen misses Monday's match through injury. In fact, Arsenal have no recognised full backs fit at the moment and with Vermaelen missing there's every chance Fulham can find the back of the net. Fulham are 6/4 to win in the draw no bet market which looks a decent bet with Ladbrokes.

Former Porto forward Orlando Sa scored at Carrow Road at the weekend and at 9/1 with Ladbrokes looks a decent bet to find the net first on Monday. The last two games between these two sides have been score draws and despite Arsenal's excellent run of form they have dropped points against Wolves and Fulham at The Emirates.
