Crystal Palace v Wolves FA Cup 4th Round Replay Odds

Crisis hit, Crystal Palace take on Wolves at Selhurst Park in this televised FA Cup 4th round replay in what should be a lively encounter which should warm up an otherwise chilly evening. The two sides shared 4 goals in the first match at Molineux a week or so ago, but it will be Palace who will be most aggrieved having led twice, the second time until six minutes from time before Zubar slotted home.

The Bookmakers can barely choose between the two teams but VC Bet has Palace as narrow 6/4 favourites, with Wolves at 7/4 and the draw (after extra time) at 11/5. We think their assessment is about right given the 50/50 nature of the first game.

Sadly the FA Cup has definately lost its attraction these days, particularly for clubs such as Wolves and Palace, who are both immersed in rigorous league and financial battles which clearly take priority over FA Cup dreams. However Palace have serious financial problems and any sort of cup run can only help them out.

Wolves sit just one point and one place above the Premier League drop zone right now, they are having a bad time of it in the top flight but know that is where their focus must remain. Whilst they would not enjoy the ignominy of losing to Palace, it is obvious that Wolves boss, Mick McCarthy would not lose any sleep over it and that is why we think his side might come off second best in this replay. Add to the mix the fact that Wolves have not got a good reputation or indeed a track record of scoring many goals or creating chances. They are averaging less than a goal a game in the Premier League this season, which is hardly a statistic that inspires the neutral punter.

See Our 2010 FA Cup Betting Page.

We think it not unreasonable to back Palace to win the match by perhaps just one, maybe two goals and would advise a 2-1 win at 8/1 from Victor Chandler might prove fruitful. Other offers, prices and outcomes are laid out below. p>
