Top-10 Market Movers

The Betting Directory will be providing an in-depth analysis of the Top-10 'Market Movers' from the world of football every Monday. We will be reviewing the previous week's football action to see who are the movers and shakers in the latest betting markets...

Top Ten Market Movers

Premier League Odds

Leicester upset the odds to win the Premier League title in 2016 but it is the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea who are favourites in the betting for the crown in 2016/17.

As well as betting on who will win the Premier League, you can also bet on who will be relegated. Norwich, Aston Villa and Newcastle all dropped out of the division last season and it will be tight again in the betting at the bottom.

With Champions League football so very important, the likes of Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are likely to be battling it out for a top four finish again. Will someone new break into the top four in the 2016/17 season?

As well as betting on the results, you can also bet on who will be the top goalscorer of the 2016/17 season, with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez all in the mix at the head of the market.

Champions League Betting

The Champions League is the premier European competition and Real Madrid are defending champions after they beat Atletico Madrid in the final in Italy last season.

Check the latest odds on the 2016/17 Champions League.

We also have a dedicated Champions League mini-site, regularly updated with the latest betting news, form, tips and the all important odds.

Europa League Betting

The Europa League is the name of the old UEFA Cup and takes up a similar format to the Champions League. Sevilla beat Liverpool in the final last season but the betting is likely to be tight for the 2016/17 competition.

Check the latest odds for the 2016/17 Europa League.

Domestic Football Betting

As well as the Premier League, we have the outright odds available on the other three professional divisions in England, plus both cup competitions.

The Championship is always a keenly contested division and the betting is hugely popular, with Newcastle, Aston Villa and Norwich all well fancied in the betting after being relegated from the Premiership.

The betting is tight for promotion from League One title and Milwall will hope to make it after narrowly losing out in the play-offs last season. The likes of Sheffield United and Peterborough are also in the mix.

League Two boasts a host of new teams and Portsmouth are amongst the favourites for the title with bookmakers, although Crewe and Blackpool will hope to bounce straight back up.

The FA Cup is the world's most famous domestic cup competition and was won in 2016 by Manchester United as they beat Crystal Palace 2-1 after extra-time in the final at Wembley.

The Capital One Cup, also known as the League Cup, is played alongside the FA Cup and league competitions, with Man City beating Liverpool on penalties in the 2016 final at Wembley.
