The Premier League darts season is starting to reach the business end of proceedings as the scramble for a vital top four play-off place gathers pace. The season moves on to the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Thursday night for week 12 of action and there is the mouth-watering prospect of a clash between the two form players Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson.
Taylor remains hot favourite to win the title again at 2/5 in the betting with Totesport and is sure of a top four spot already, while Anderson is a best price of 4/1, and interestingly 2009 champion James Wade is starting to move into form and is available at a tempting 20/1 to regain his title.
Terry Jenkins v Mark Webster
The first match of the night in Liverpool sees the two basement players go head-to-head as Terry Jenkins takes on Mark Webster. Jenkins can still make the top four providing he wins his final three matches and he will be buoyant after snatching a 7-7 draw with a 12 dart finish against Raymond van Barneveld last week. Jenkins is 8/11 on to win against Webster and it is no surprise as Webster has lost his last four matches by an 8-1 margin and another 8-1 defeat can be backed at 50/1 in the betting with Tote. Webster is 11/5 against in the match betting, and a more realistic punt might be the Jenkins win by a correct score 8-3 at 10/1.

Phil Taylor v Gary Anderson
The stand out tie of week 12 is undoubtedly the top two clash between the form men Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson. Taylor is already sure of a play-off place and is 4/9 on to extend his ten match unbeaten run to eleven against Anderson after winning their previous meeting 8-6 in Manchester. Anderson needs just one more point to be sure of a top four place and can be backed at 10/3 after throwing a Premier League record eleven 180s in his 8-6 win over Simon Whitlock last week. We fancy Taylor might have the edge again this week and the 8-6 correct score looks tempting at 9/2 in what could be another thriller.

Raymond van Barneveld v James Wade
Third placed Raymond van Barneveld still needs a win to secure his top four berth and despite being slight favourite at 11/10 in the betting for his match this week we fancy he could come unstuck against a rejuvenated James Wade. The 2009 champion has won three in a row and can be backed at 7/5 to win the match and go a step closer to a top four spot that seemed unthinkable a few weeks ago. Wade averaged a season's best 106 last week as he moved level on points with fourth placed Simon Whitlock and looks to be moving into form at the right time.
Prediction: James Wade to win the match @ 7/5 with Tote.
Simon Whitlock v Adrian Lewis
Fourth placed Simon Whitlock has lost his last two matches in a row but did lose to an inspired Gary Anderson last time out and we fancy he could return to form with a win at 5/4 this week. The Australian takes on World Championship winner Adrian Lewis, who has lost his last three matches by an 8-3 scoreline and is a 6/5 punt on Thursday. Lewis has struggled to hit the heights since his opening week win over Phil Taylor and the 8-3 win to Whitlock is priced 14/1 or but perhaps the 8-5 might be more realistic at 9/1.
