The Premier League of Darts moves on to Belfast for week three of action at the Odyssey Arena on Thursday night. Phil Taylor remains 5/4 favourite in the outright winner odds, with Adrian Lewis still well fancied at 7/2 and defending champion Gary Anderson available at 11/2 with Stan James. Simon Whitlock has been impressive so far and he is in action in Thursday's opening match......
Kevin Painter (11/4) v (Draw 5/1) Simon Whitlock (1/2)
Thursday night's first fixture involves current Premier League table topper Simon Whitlock against new boy Kevin Painter. Whitlock has taken a draw and a win from his opening two matches and he looks full of confidence after humbling James Wade 8-4 in Aberdeen last week. Painter has taken to Premier League Darts in fine style as he caused an upset to win his opening match and pushed Phil Taylor close last week. However, Whitlock's greater experience and current form makes him a worthy favourite for this clash.
Tip: Correct score of 8-4 to Simon Whitlock @ 11/2 with StanJames.
Andy Hamilton (5/2) v (Draw 5/1) Adrian Lewis (815)
Another Premier League debutant has taken to the event in fine style as Andy Hamilton stunned James Wade in his opening match before losing out to Gary Anderson last time. He takes on Adrian Lewis, who drew 7-7 with Raymond Van Barneveld last week, in a repeat of the World Championship final from earlier this year, which Lewis won 7-3. Lewis's experience proved crucial that day but we fancy Hamilton to take a result against his great friend this week and the draw could be worth a look.
Tip: Draw @ 5/1 with StanJames.
Gary Anderson (8/11) v (Draw 9/2) James Wade (15/8)
Defending champion Gary Anderson looks a worthy 8/11 favourite for his match with James Wade. Anderson has been inconsistent so far, losing to Kevin Painter before securing an 8-2 win over Andy Hamilton in front of his home Scottish crowd last week. Wade has lost both of his matches so far and has looked virtually disinterested as he was 7-0 down to Simon Whitlock before showing some energy to eventually go down 8-4. Wade's form makes him a tough man to back and the correect score of 8-5 to Anderson could be the way to go, particularly as the Scot won both matches against Wade last year.
Tip: Correct score of 8-5 to Anderson @ 5/1 with Stan James.
Raymond Van Barneveld (4/1) v (6/1) Phil Taylor (1/3)
The highlight of the evening in Belfast is undoubtedly Van Barneveld against Taylor and Taylor starts an odds on favourite. 'The Power' had to be at his very best to beat Kevin Painter 8-5 last week as he threw a stunning 9-darter. He has been dominant against Van Barneveld over the years but the Dutchman has shown signs of returning to his best. Two draws from two tough matches is a decent return in this tournament so far and his two wins against Taylor in October should stand him in good stead this week. However, Taylor had won 17 consecutive meetings between the two prior to October and Taylor should pick up an important win, although it could be a thriller.
Tip: Correct score of 8-6 to Taylor @ 5/1 with StanJames.
5/4 Phil Taylor
7/2 Adrian Lewis
11/2 Gary Anderson
6/1 Simon Whitlock
14/1 James Wade
14/1 Raymond Van Barneveld
33/1 Andy Hamilton
40/1 Kevin Painter
