The Premier League Darts season is reaching the business end of proceedings with just four weeks of action left before the play-offs. Tournament favourite Phil Taylor secured his place in the top four with an 8-2 win over Terry Jenkins in Sheffield last week and is now 1/2 odds on with Boylesports to retain his title. While 4/1 shot Gary Anderson and 9/1 Raymond Van Barneveld will look to move a step closer to ensuring their play-off places during week 11 of the season in Birmingham on Thursday....
James Wade v Mark Webster
Thursday night's first match sees a rejuvenated James Wade take on a woefully out of form Mark Webster. Wade has won two matches in a row since losing four of his opening five fixtures and the 2009 champion is 4/6 odds on to beat Webster. Wade is making a late bid to make the play-offs and it is difficult to back against him after he scrapped his way to an 8-5 win over Simon Whitlock in Sheffield last week. Webster can be backed at industry best odds of 5/2 but he looks a man low in confidence after missing 19 doubles in his 8-1 defeat to Gary Anderson last time out - it was his third successive 8-1 defeat. Another 8-1 can be backed at odds of 22/1 this week but we fancy the look of an 8-2 to Wade which is available at 14/1.

Raymond Van Barneveld v Terry Jenkins
Dutchman Van Barneveld can move a step closer to securing his play-off place on Thursday as he sits in fourth place in the table, three points clear of fifth placed Adrian Lewis. He was imperious in beating Adrian Lewis 8-3 last week to gain his sixth win of the season and we fancy he should justify his 4/7 odds on favouritism to beat Jenkins this week. Jenkins, priced 11/4 for the match, lost 8-2 to Taylor but came away with an impressive losing average of 94.92. Things don't get any easier for the Welshman though and the 8-3 correct score to Van Barneveld looks tempting at odds of 8/1.

Gary Anderson v Simon Whitlock
Scotsman Gary Anderson has been in fine form of late and his match with Simon Whitlock looks to be a mouth-watering encounter. Anderson destroyed Mark Webster 8-1 last week to rack up his third successive win and second 8-1 win over Webster, while Whitlock lost out to James Wade during an error strewn match. Whitlock missed 20 shots at doubles and can ill afford such mistakes against Anderson, against whom he is a slight outsider at 19/10, with Anderson a 17/20 favourite. It should be a close match and the 8-6 to Anderson could represent a decent punt at industry best odds of 11/2.

Phil Taylor v Adrian Lewis
Taylor is already sure of a play-off place but he has said he wants to make sure of top spot and gain revenge over World Championship winner Adrian Lewis. Taylor was humiliated 8-1 by Lewis on the opening day of the season but has won nine matches in a row since then. He averaged 106 against Terry Jenkins last week and we fancy he could well produce the goods against Lewis - with the 8-1 scoreline an 11/1 punt, although the 8-3 could be more realistic at odds of 5/1. He is 1/3 on to win the match, with Lewis priced 9/2 in a match he can ill afford to lose as he sits in fifth place outside of that all important fourth spot.
