Alistair Cook will lead England for the first time at International level when England take on Bangladesh in the first of a three ODI series on Sunday in Dhaka. England are huge favourites to win the match and the series, but perhaps the odds do not reflect that the Bangladesh side are not without talent and they are on home soil.
Cook is likely to open the batting for England along with new wicket keeping cap, Craig Kieswetter, who is yet another South African who now qualifies to play for England.
Bangladesh have recorded ODI victories over all the test playing nations with the exception of England, who have won all eight of their previous meetings. England has also beaten Bangladesh in each of the four test matches played between the two countries. Kieswetter who is a very accomplished batsman, is amongst the favourites to finish as England’s top batsman in the series, he has odds of 7/2, but favourite is Kevin Pieterson, who played so well in the recent T20 series against Pakistan. Pieterson is 3/1 with Ladbrokes, while Cook is a 9/2 chance and Eion Morgan is 11/2.

We think that England will win this series but would not be surprised to see Bangladesh cause a few problems. England have not looked too hot in their warm up matches and will need to bring their A game with them if they are to maintain their unbeaten tag.
