The NBA is a professional basketball league in the USA and is growing in popularity in the UK with ever increasing exposure on Sky Sports and ESPN.
The NBA season runs from November through to June. Consisting of 30 teams. The NBA is divided in to two conferences, the Eastern and Western Conference, each of which consists of three divisions. Each division is made up of five teams, who play 82 games each in the regular season to determine the winner of each division. The other four teams with the best record for the season make up the teams who progress to the end of season play-offs, whereby the winner of each Conference meets in the NBA Championship.
