The first Irish Classic of the season takes place at the Curragh on Saturday afternoon with the Irish 2000 Guineas. Nineteen runners remain in the field at the five day declaration stage, with the favourite the Aiden O'Brien trained Cristoforo Colombo who was fifth in the English Guineas. Run over a mile, this Group 1 contest was won last year by 5/1 chance Power.

3.50pm - Haydock - Temple Stakes (Sat)
The Group 2 Temple Stakes is the highlight of Haydock's card on Saturday afternoon. Run over five furlongs, the Edward Lynam trained Sole Power is amongst the favourites to pick up yet another valuable sprint prize. Also well fancied are the Roger Charlton trained Mince and Reckless Abandon trained by Clive Cox. The race was won last year by favourite Bated Breath.

3.55pm - Curragh - Irish 1000 Guineas (Sun)
The Curragh hosts the Group 1 Irish 1000 Guineas on Sunday afternoon, with the Charles Hills trained Just The Judge likely to be sent off the bookmakers' favourite. The filly was runner-up in the English equivalent at the start of the month and she's likely to be up against Edward Lynam's Viztoria and Maureen trained by Richard Hannon.

Champions League Betting
The Champions League final takes place at Wembley on Saturday night, as Borussia Dortmund take on the odds on favourites Bayern Munich. Both sides defied the odds to win their semi-finals against Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively and the final promises to be a really good game.
